A Mixed Blessing Kind of Day

    May 23, 2025

I got the job with RWS! While I’m grateful for the opportunity, it comes with the reality check that many of us with chronic illness face. It’s only a part-time position with modest pay. That means I’m back to the drawing board for finding extra work to make ends meet.

After the interview, I dove straight into more job applications because bills don’t pause for celebration. It’s the chronic illness hustle. I’m always planning for the financial gaps that come with needing flexible, health-friendly work.

The silver lining of my day was spent working on Chronically Hustling. I’ve been completely revamping and optimizing all my existing posts. I’ve also been adding more comprehensive information and resources to make them truly valuable for the chronic illness community. Each post now serves both people living with chronic conditions AND their support systems.

My current focus is expanding the chronic illness information library – creating detailed, empathetic resources for each major chronic condition. It’s ambitious (there are SO many conditions to cover), but I’m building something that doesn’t exist elsewhere. A one-stop resource where anyone can find reliable information, real experiences, and genuine support for any chronic illness. All in one place.

Some days are about survival (job hunting, bill paying), and some days are about building something meaningful. Today was both.

The dogs are snoring. I’m signing off. See you tomorrow. 💜
